Mel B and Jena Malone embrace colorblocking and cut-outs courtesy of Roksanda Ilincic

Roksanda Ilincic’s collections have become red carpet staples thanks to the designer’s unique ability to present fresh interpretations of established trends. Take this dynamic orange and black jumpsuit from the Spring 2014 offering. In addition to its colorblock landscape, the piece also incorporates a cut-out accent and an elongated draped detail. That’s probably why two stars have selected the statement jumpsuit so far this year.

Mel just rocked the sleeveless jumpsuit at Thursday’s 2014 iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles. Sparkling earrings and black Christian Louboutin heels completed the look. Jena hit the Vanity Fair and FIAT Celebration of Young Hollywood in late February decked out in the designer’s vibrant creation. The actress also added in a pair of black pumps, but she brought a bit more edge in the form of a teased hairdo.

We are definitely coveting this eye-catching jumpsuit, but can’t decide if we would play it more low-key like the America’s Got Talent judge or amp up the rest of our look like The Hunger Games star. Who do you think wore Roksanda Ilincic best?
