The coveted Screen Actors Guild Awards were handed out on Saturday night and the stars really stepped it up for the occasion. Colors like blue, red and pink were well-represented, while neutrals featured distinctive details, including lace and netting. Embellishments and metallic accents also proved popular. Here are a few of the most dramatic looks from this year’s ceremony.
Lupita Nyong’o certainly stood out thanks to this turquoise Gucci gown with floral embroidered neckline. The new style star wrapped up the look with Fred Leighton gems and Christian Louboutin Vendome pumps. It was a deep blue Antonio Berardi asymmetrical gown for Amy Adams at the awards. Cartier jewelry and Jimmy Choo Vibe pumps completed the look. Best Actress winner Cate Blanchett relied on Givenchy for her pink Spring 2014 gown with sparkling neckline. She accessorized with Chopard jewels and Roger Vivier sandals.
Sandra Bullock opted for a green Lanvin creation on Saturday night. The actress styled her strapless gown with a gold bangle by Fred Leighton, a Roger Vivier Boite de Nuit clutch and Jimmy Choo Valetta sandals. This multicolored Christian Dior Fall 2013 Couture strapless sequin gown was Jennifer Lawrence’s dynamic pick for the ceremony. Jennifer Meyer statement earrings and black Brian Atwood Tribeca sandals served as accessories. Valentino’s pink wide-leg jumpsuit helped Julia Roberts make an impact out in Los Angeles. Wilfredo Rosado earrings, a Roger Vivier clutch and platform sandals rounded out the look.
Scandal’s leading lady went with a daring Prada ensemble on the red carpet. Kerry Washington paired an embroidered fuchsia crop top with a high-waisted navy skirt and capped off the look with Christian Louboutin Pigalace pumps. Emilia Clarke attended the awards in a Calvin Klein Collection rose gold gown. She polished off the look with Pomellato jewels, a Rauwolf clutch and Roger Vivier shoes. Claire Danes selected this Vionnet embroidered gown with black tulle accents. Forevermark Diamonds jewelry and Jimmy Choo Lance sandals finished off the look.
