Several stars stepped out in style late last week in London for the Fashion Rules: Dress from the collections of HM The Queen, Princess Margaret and Diana, Princess of Wales exhibition launch party at Kensington Palace. Bright colors mingled with neutral shades, while accents ranged from starburst appliqués to a leather corset belt. Here are some of the more noteworthy looks from the party.
Minnie Driver certainly stood out at the star-studded event. Her colorful sleeveless Missoni maxi comes from the brand’s Spring 2013 collection. It was a black Marios Schwab Spring 2013 dress with pleated skirt and coordinating leather corset belt for Naomie Harris in London. The actress accessorized with an Edie Parker black box clutch and a pair of lacy Jimmy Choo booties. Roksanda Ilincic was the source of Hayley Atwell‘s Spring 2013 colorblock dress. A gold clutch and white pumps completed the look.
Gillian Anderson also opted for black decked out in this retro strapless creation with sculpted bodice. She wrapped up the sophisticated look with a diamond necklace, a black clutch and matching peep-toe platform pumps. Pixie Geldof‘s House of Holland Resort 2014 ensemble consisted of a printed blouse and a teal skirt with striking starburst appliqués. A dark lip and silver Mary Jane pumps polished off the look. This embellished black dress by Bec & Bridge also featured a cut-out accent. Jessica Lowndes rounded out the look with Joan Hornig earrings, a red Rebecca Minkoff bag and black Greymer ankle strap pumps.
Minnie’s Missoni, Naomie’s sleek Marios Schwab and Hayley’s bold Roksanda Ilincic dress all get our seal of approval. Who do you think was best dressed at the fashionable party?
