Designers have been experimenting with the high-low hemline for a few seasons now and the asymmetrical creations have proved popular on the red carpet. Monica Tessler just opted for an unconventional Michael Kors interpretation of the ongoing trend at Wednesday’s Whitney Museum of American Art Gala & Studio Party 2013 in New York City. The Fall 2013 dress features a long sleeve black top and an orange skirt that transitions into an extensive train. She finished off the look with black pumps. Kerry Washington selected the same statement dress back in April for the 2013 MTV Movie Awards. A coordinating orange clutch and black Roger Vivier pumps served as accessories.
We definitely prefer Kerry’s take since her accessories were slightly more dynamic. Do you favor the Scandal star in this dress or did Monica wear it better?
