“The military trend was (and is) my favorite trend of the year, by far. Everything from army jackets and skinny cargo pants to desert boots and cross body bags were part of my daily ‘uniform’. A single piece paired with something feminine or luxe is the perfect combination.”

- Jennifer Davidson, cofounder and managing director

“I am a big fan of leopard prints and love the variety of ways to incorporate them into your wardrobe.”

- Beth Herbst, cofounder and style director

Faux fur! It looks so luxe but is really inexpensive. Plus, I’m so happy that it’s officially acceptable to fake it, since I’m so against real fur.”

- Anna Rice, StyleBakeryTeen fashion and beauty editor

“I’m so into the ladylike trend with pencil skirts, leopard cardigans and pointy toe pumps. I even wear pearl studs to the gym!”

- Daisy Lewellyn, style contributor and “queen of effortless chic”

“There were so many great trends this year, but I absolutely loved that faux fur enjoyed such a surge of popularity in the fall. It’s plush, luxurious, animal friendly, timeless and so chic – a combination you just can’t beat!”

- Tanya Sharma, daily scoop editor

“The shorts with heels trend was fun. It was a great way to make shorts more versatile (and flattering!)”

- Stephany McKnight, celebrity dish editor

“I’ve enjoyed all the leopard print this year, especially on accessories. Great way to make a boring outfit more stylish, and it’s classic, even it if is a trend.”

- Andrea Thatcher, StyleBakeryTeen star style editor

“I love the military trend. From anoraks to skinny cargos, it’s totally up my alley.”

- Jamie Allison Sanders, beauty editor

“The best style trend was thigh high boots – I was obsessed with this look paired with candy-colored tights and a simple dress.”

- Haley Hogan, StyleBakeryTeen gossip editor

“I love boots – tall, short, lace-up, heeled, flat. For me, the best trend of the year was over-the-knee boots. They are so versatile and work with just about any outfit.”

- Christine Fox, StyleBakeryMom style editor

Military. Although military shows up nearly every season in some form, this year it was so glamorous. The trend practically begged us to offset the structure with luxurious details like faux fur and embellishments.”

- Courtney Strimel, StyleBakeryMom style editor

Statement accessories. They were everywhere! As an accessories fiend, I was so excited about it, and I hope it continues forever more.”

- Arlyn Hernandez, beauty editor

“Mixed prints and patterns. From Whitney Port to Keira Knightley, celebs were sporting fun florals and graphics all in one outfit, successfully breaking one of fashion’s 10 commandments. Dries Van Noten was the clear champion of this trend.”
