How To Wear Spring's Trickiest Trends

By Daisy Lewellyn

Models with mile high legs and glossy long tresses seem to make everything that hits the runways look fantastic. Unfortunately, for those of us who rely on platforms for height and shine serum for our tresses, pulling off all of the season’s trends can be a challenge. We’ve chosen three “tricky” trends and shared the “trick” to pulling them off on your real-life catwalk.

Sculpturally Sane

Bold shoulders shown on the runway pay tribute to football linebackers, but can inspire you to tackle the trend realistically.

Trick: Wear tops or jackets that soften hard edges and smooth volume downward. Always balance out your lower half with a slimmer silhouette.

Home on the Range

The prairie trend does not have to make you look 15 pounds heavier and weigh you down in extra fabrics.

Trick: Wear a modern fitted plaid shirt and full skirt that shows legs. Have fun with playful accessories inspired by your little style house on the prairie.

Loving this post! I’m always looking for new ways to add and wear new pieces in my wardrobe.

Love the sculpturally sane look, gonna try this while working this weekend. Would the t in lavender be okay to pair with a black pencil skirt and black flats? I need a belt… What would you pair this with, a black one or silver, or what?!
