about the products: These products were created to give customers a positive and refreshing experience. The ingredients are uniquely combined so that the products go on smoothly and have refreshing fragrances. The ingredients in all of the body washes and lotions are cocoa butter, shea butter and coconut oil. These ingredients are all great for the skin and provide a sensational feeling.
inspired by: Family, friends and other talented successful individuals that Rashida sees prosper in the city of New York.
a tale of two hats: Rashida is also a graphic designer in the magazine and publishing industry. She has a Bachelors of Science degree in Imaging Systems Management (Business Management & Imaging) with a minor in communications from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
do-gooders: The Island Breeze Body Wash and Lotions are part of their outreach program where 5% of proceeds are donated to Jamaican and West African projects powered by Global Giving.

inspired by: The idea of mi SPA was inspired by the age-old Eastern stories of Asian women who utilized rice water and other rice-enriched products for skincare to maintain their ageless and flawless porcelain complexion.
backstory: Mimie was trained in Fashion Design and worked in the Industry for years until a few years ago she was struggling with the work-life balance and dreamt of having her own stress-free and healthy lifestyle. Self-exploration led to an interest in the natural benefits and healing powers of organic ingredients, herbs and essential oils. It was this prolonged research of nature-inspired simplicity that familiarized Mimie with an ancient Eastern beauty ritual. She was fascinated by the beauty secret that originated from her culture and was determined to design her own body care collection based on the idea of RICE, pronounced as "mi" in Chinese.
