designer: Lourdes Amador of BijouBoutique
design aesthetic: Lourdes' designs range from chic and stylish to fun and colorful; bold and chunky to simple and delicate.
standout pieces: One of a kind Agate Pendants, Gemstone rings, Swirly hoops and chunky pieces.
inspired by: Lourdes' inspiration comes, like many other artists, from daily life, however the pieces that come out of BijouBoutique are not in the realm of day to day life. They should be fun, chic and allow the wearer to be the center of attention.
what sets them apart: BijouBoutique is set apart from the others because they pay attention to the details in their materials and in the quality of the work, which other designers often ignore. Quantity is not the trend at BijouBoutique, exceptional quality is. And it's a trend that is not going out of style.
notable press: BijouBoutique has been featured in Redbook Online, Seventeen Magazine & StyleBakery.com "Designers on the Rise"

designer: Michelle Tamoush of Moushart Jewelry & Design
design aesthetic: Michelle's jewelry designs come from a fine art standpoint, reflecting her education starting with scuplture all the way to papermaking. Her experience has given her the chance to play with balance, scale and color. The resulting designs are innovative, diverse and always translate a facet of the designer in them. Having a hint of Michelle's personality in each design creates a constant in an ever evolving jewelry line.
standout pieces: Kelia necklaces and earrings, Eva bracelets, Toby rings and Isabella earrings.
inspired by: While the materials may cause the initial spark, Michelle's designs become less about the actual materials and more about how they transform into the final piece. She can get so immersed in the process that she begins to feel somewhat like a mad scientist, hunched over the table, twisting wires, beads flying until the design clicks and she finally comes up to breathe. In the end, perhaps the rules of jewelry design and fashion may not always apply, but those of art does.
little known fact: Many of the Moushart pieces are named after friends, family members, friends' pets or places that have a significant meaning. It keeps a fun and personal aspect of the jewelry for Michelle and the people close to her.
