Genius Beauty Invention: Vibrating Mascara

We love finding new beauty gadgets to play with, and our latest obsession is vibrating mascara. The Prescriptives Motor-Eyes Instant Action Mascara ($32 at Nordstrom) will add volume, color, lift and curl while minimizing clumping, flaking, and a host of other problems associated with traditional mascaras. While vibrating mascaras can be pricey, they are excellent for separating lashes, explains director of artistry for Prescriptives, Jillian Veran. She suggests slowly moving the brush through your lashes, starting at the root. The vibrating technology will allow you to apply your make up faster, using fewer strokes.
Here are some more options for vibrating mascaras:
The Lancome Oscillation Vibrating Infinite Powermascara ($34 at Sephora) is a good option for the summer – its smooth, water-resistant formula stands up against heat, water and humidity.
The Estee Lauder TurboLash All Effects Motion Mascara ($32 at Bloomingdale’s) is another cool vibrating option that will help separate your lashes and give them a boost of volume.
On a budget? Maybelline Define-A-Lash Pulse Perfection Mascara will do the trick and costs only $14.99 at
