Carrie Diaries fashion

Did you catch The Carrie Diaries Monday night? Though I was a moderate fan of Sex and the City, the most exciting aspect of the show to me was the costume designer – Eric Daman of Gossip Girl fame. The man who created Blair Waldorf’s wardrobe can do no wrong in my book, and he was Patricia Field’s assistant on the original Sex and the City so there’s no better experience then that. What’s he got in store for young Carrie?

“It’s about mixing and matching prints and shapes that you don’t see every day, mixing things from different decades,” Daman told Teen Vogue. “I was actually looking toward Christie Brinkley and her fresh face when she was a young model. She had some great Cosmo covers from the ’80s that I thought were very appropriate to Carrie.”
