We showed you our favorite looks from New York’s Mercedez Benz Fashion Week, and now we’ve got the details on the trends sashaying down the spring 2010 runways of Milan, London, and Paris.
Recurring trends include metallics, skinny pants, bright prints and colors, and belted waists. Models were frequently spotted in head-to-toe black and white minimalist looks and blazers have emerged as a must-have for everyone, not just professionals.
But there were four trends that stood out and caught our eye. The draping and asymmetrical looks of past seasons were reiterated and exaggerated (and, often, combined). Feminine lace details and sheer fabrics were also abundant. And playful, voluminous flared waists on tops, dresses, and skirts were by far our favorite look.
